Amal Driving School is proud to be subcontracted by the Australian Driver Trainers Association (ADTA) to deliver the NSW Safer Drivers Course, a government-approved program designed to help young drivers become safer, smarter, and more confident behind the wheel. This course is specifically tailored for learner drivers under 25 who have completed at least 50 logbook hours, offering valuable skills to reduce risks on the road. By completing the Safer Drivers Course, learners receive 20 additional logbook hours, fast-tracking their progress towards the 120-hour requirement while developing lifelong safe driving habits. The NSW Safer Drivers Course costs $140, making it an affordable investment at just $7 per logbook hour. This fee covers both the three-hour group discussion session and the two-hour practical driving coaching session.
The course consists of two components Facilitation and Coaching. The first is a 3 hour in class interactive group session where Hazard perception techniques, Risk management, Speed and space management, Peer influence and decision-making are taught by an RMS Accredited Facilitator to help you develop a strong foundation in safe driving. The second session is a two-hour practical driving session with a qualified Safer Drivers Course coach. This is a one-on-one or two-person coaching session which allows you to apply hazard perception strategies, how to anticipate and react to potential dangers, manage safe following distances, blind spots, and handle intersections.
