Amal Driving School understands that driving is an essential part of maintaining independence and mobility as we age. As a Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) accredited Older Driver Assessor, we provide professional, supportive, and stress-free assessments to ensure older drivers can continue driving safely and confidently.
In New South Wales an older driver assessment is required for drivers aged 85 and older to maintain an unrestricted car license, meaning they need to pass a practical driving test every two years from that age onwards. A medical assessment is also required annually from age 75 onwards. The assessment typically lasts 45-60 minutes and is conducted on roads you regularly use. You will receive immediate feedback and guidance on any areas for improvement.
At the end of the assessment, you will either pass and retain your unrestricted license, opt for a modified license within your local area, undertake additional lessons for improvement, or take the test again. Contact us today to book your Older Driver Assessment and drive with confidence and independence.
